Instructors are not the only one who can create online course in AlpacaLMS, admin also have access to the same course creation features and even more.
To create a course in your LMS:
Here are the field
Course Type: Select the type of course from the dropdown. Options may include Video Course
, Text Course
, etc.
Title (required): Enter the title of the course.
Points: Enter the points for the course. If left blank, the mode will be inactive.
Select an Instructor: Choose an instructor for the course from the dropdown menu.
SEO Meta Description: Enter a description for SEO purposes. This will be displayed in search engine results. Aim for 155-160 characters.
Thumbnail (required): Upload a thumbnail image for the course by double-clicking the upload icon. A file browser will open in which you can upload your thumbnail image.
Cover Image (required): Upload a cover image for the course by double-clicking the upload icon. A file browser will open in which you can upload your cover image.
Demo Video: Select the source for your demo video if desired. If you want to upload your own demo video, double-clicking the upload icon, a file browser will open in which you can upload your video.
Description (required): Provide a description for the course. HTML and images are supported.
Capacity: Set the maximum number of participants for the course.
Start Date: Select the start date for the course.
Duration (required): Enter the duration of the course in minutes.
Time Zone: Select the time zone for the course.
Support: Toggle this option to enable or disable support for the course.
Completion Certificate: Toggle this option to enable or disable the issuance of a completion certificate.
Downloadable: Toggle this option to enable or disable downloadable content.
Partner Instructor: Toggle this option to enable or disable partner instructors.
Course Forum: Toggle this option to enable or disable the course forum.
Subscribe: Toggle this option to enable or disable subscription.
Private: Toggle this option to make the course private.
Enable Waitlist: Toggle this option to enable or disable the waitlist.
Access Period (Days): Set the access period for the course. The user must repurchase after this period expires.
Price ($): Enter the price of the course. Leave blank to offer it for free.
Tags: Enter tags for the course, separated by commas.
Category (required): Select a category for the course from the dropdown menu.
Message to Reviewer: Enter any messages or notes for the course reviewer; if you are an admin, this is usually not required.
After entering all the necessary information, click on Save and Continue to create the course. In the next steps will be adding content to the course.
Once you have created a course and filled in the basic information, more options will show up at the bottom of the course creation page.
Sections are the main contents of your course. Here, you can add videos, files, quizzes, and assignments.

AlpacaLMS supports multiple video sources. You can add a video from YouTube, Vimeo, external link, or upload your own video. We will go through each of these options.

Once a Quiz is created, you can start adding questions to it. AlpacaLMS supports multiple choices and text-based questions. The question creation wizzards will take you through the process of creating a question.
Reorganizing Contents:
Once you have created your sections and contents, you can reorder them by dragging and dropping. This allows you to reorganize the course flow in a way that makes sense.
Course prerequisites are courses that students must have completed (or are recommended to complete) before enrolling in your course. You can specify multiple prerequisites for a course as follows:
Related courses are courses that are relevance to your course. You can add multiple related courses to a course.
FAQs are frequently asked questions that give the students more information about the course.
Learning materials provide a list of key concepts that students will learn throughout the course. This section offers a summary of the topics and materials that will be covered, giving students a clear understanding of what they can expect to learn. This will appear in the "What you will learn?" box of your course description page.
You have the option to upload company logos to your course. These logos will be displayed in the "Suggested by top companies" section on your course description page, enhancing the credibility and appeal of your course.
You can also add a list of requirements for your course. This will appear in the "Requirements" box of your course description page.
