Certificates
Introduction
AlpacaLMS provides a poweful certificates template editor that allows you to design your own certificates. These certificates serve as official validation of users' achievements in completing online courses. There are 2 types of certificates in AlpacaLMS:
- Quiz certificate: issued to a user when they pass a quiz.
- Course completion certificate: issued to a user when they complete a course.
Creating certifiate template
Before certitifcates can be issued, you need to create a certificate template. To create a certificate template:
- Navigate to Certificates in the sidebar.
- Select Certificate Templates and click on Add New.
Title:
- Enter the name for your certificate template.
Background Image:
- To add a Background Image to the certificate, double-click the upload icon. A File Manager window will open where you can upload and select your desired background image. For optimal results, we recommend using an image with dimensions of 930x600 pixels.
Type:
- Select the type of certificate you want to create from the dropdown menu. You can create a Quiz Certificates or a Course Completion Certificate.
Add Certificate Elements:
- Add static elements such as Title, Subtitle, Body, and Hint.
- Add dynamic elements such as Date, Student Name, Instructor Name, Course Name and more. These fields are automatically generated when the certificate is created for each student.
- You can also upload your own Stamp image.
- Remember to toggle the elements to Active for them to appear in the tempalte!
Positioning and Customization:
- You can customize the looks and feel of each element by setting the font size, color, font weight, and more.
- You can drag and drop elements to rearrange them.
Activate Template:
- Toggle the Active switch to make the template available for use.
- Click Save to create the certificate template.
Your certificate template is now ready to be used for generating certificates.
